The Upper Hominy Fire & Rescue Auxiliary was organized in 1960 for the sole purpose of aiding the firefighters when the opportunity presented itself.  The auxiliary gladly serves the firefighters when they are fighting fires or on any large scale event by having sandwiches, drinks, coffee and water available.

Through the years, the auxiliary has sponsored suppers, helped with the Singing in the Valley, Labor Day activities, had plant sales as well as many other fundraisers to help the department with the up-keep of the building, even helping to purchase small equipment as well as other items needed by the department.

We are always looking for new volunteers that live in the community that feel led to serve that would like to assist with the variety of events and functions of the Upper Hominy Fire & Rescue Auxiliary.  Auxiliary meetings are held the 4^th Tuesday of every month at 7pm at the Upper Hominy Fire & Rescue Department, 1795 Pisgah Hwy in Candler.
